December 30th, 2012 - The Final Report

It’s that time of year for the final stash report. It’s not exactly what I had hoped for but considering all the stuff that has happened this year, it’s really not too bad at all. The biggest and greatest thing was the birth of my first grandchild. I couldn’t top that even if I tried. Now most of you would think that that would make me sew more but I haven’t even made him a quilt yet! What kind of grandma am I? I was all set to make him one but I heard that someone was getting one made and I didn’t want to it to seem that mine was better or anything like that, so I’ll be making a story time quilt for his birthday, complete with books to read. Now for some numbers.

Fabric used this report: 3.66 yds

Fabric used YTD: 150.66 yds

Fabric added this report: 11.89 yds

Fabric added YTD: 244.52 yds

Net fabric busted: -93.86 yds

There’s hope for me for the next year. I have hopes and dreams for the new year but I’ll need to stick to my plan. USE THE STASH! Right! On that note, have a safe and heppy new year!

All babies need at least ten quilts! Crib quilts, floor quilts, wall quilts….. Sorry you felt like you couldn’t give your grandbaby a quilt when he was born. That must have been heartbreaking for you. Just think of all the quilts you will be making for him from now on.

Hope 2013 is full of many happy memories with your new grandson.

You will have lots of time to make quilts for you newest family member. Enjoy being a Grandma…it’s the best!

There is NOTHING more important (and fun)than enjoying a grandchild!
