December 29th, 2014 - The Stash

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I didn’t get on the computer much. It seemed like I was busy everyday, visiting with my family and friends. Lots of fun and laughter, that’s what it’s all about. Good times!

Anyway, here it is, the final stash report of the year. I had hoped to do better but there was so much cute fabric out there, I just had to buy it. Yeah, better luck next year. Now for those numbers.

Fabric used this time: 9.39 yds

Fabric used YTD: 234.19 yds

Fabric added this time: 27.59 yds

Fabric added YTD: 179.5 yds

Net fabric busted: 54.69 yds

Now that’s not so bad after all. I did use a load of fabric but my goal was to not buy any. My latest craze is Christmas fabric, I can’t seem to get enough of it. I never bought all that much of it before, mostly fat quarters that didn’t really go with anything else. More of that “what was I thinking” problem. When I bought it this year, I bought 2 or 3 yards of one fabric and 2 or 3 yards of another fabric to go with it. Smart thinking, right?

Have a Happy New Year and I look forward to see all your stash reports next year.

December 7th, 2014 - The Stash

Well, it’s been a while since I posted anything about anything. I’ve been pretty busy though, I went on a retreat, was a vendor in a craft show, took my mom for some tests (all good) and am now in the process of making a few more comfort quilts. I went to a retirement party on Friday night and heard  about 4 people who could use a nice quilt. It was weird! At least it wasn’t the guy who just retired.

Now for some numbers

Fabric used since the last report: 44.61 yds

Fabric used YTD: 224.8 yds

Fabric added since the last report: 42.82 yds

Fabric added YTD: 151.89 yds

Net fabric busted: 72.89 yds

I really want to be at the 100 yard mark of net fabric used for the year but I doubt I’ll be there. My friend just dropped off a few quilts that I offered to finish up as comfort quilts. I plan on getting them done, hopefully this week and distribute them before the holidays arrive. Thanks Deb for saving the day. Have a great week!
