December 31st, 2018 - 2018 Final Stash and Stitching Report
I hope all is well and everyone had Merry Christmas. My brother receiver the best gift of all, a new heart! He is doing well, up and walking about and he started physio-therapy today. The doctors are pleased with the new ticker, it’s working as it should. Many, many thanks to the donor and their family for this wonderful gift.
Now on to the quilting and stitching news. There really isn’t any. I did make a few stockings this year but that’s about it. Embroidered names and quilted fronts. I don’t think I even took a picture of them. And if I did take a picture, who knows where it is. My dear hubby bought me a new laptop for my birthday and I’m still learning all the great things it can do. Best of all, it works like it’s supposed to. My old laptop was possessed! Drove me crazy!
My final stash report of the year is as follows
Fabric used this week: 3.3 yds
Fabric used YTD: 196.94 yds
Fabric added this week: 0 yds
Fabric added YTD: 257.23 yds
Net fabric busted: -60.29 yds
I have been keeping a running total year to year since I’ve been doing stash reports. So this year’s 60.29 yards added to the running total of 169.675 yards means I am 229.965 yards behind. But what that really means is I have to use 230 yards of fabric before I buy any more fabric. I really, really, really would like to see if I could accomplish that in the coming year. I know I can do it. And think of the money I will save.
Now for the 15 Minutes to Stitch news. I stitched only 4.6 hours the first week and 12 hours last week. Christmas and family took over my house and time. My sister did come over and we stitched one evening. And when we start stitching and chatting, then we start laughing and then the hysteria sets in. Then no stitching gets done. Anyway for the year I have managed to stitch on average for 2.75 hours per day. Next year goals are the same, at least one hour per day. I hope!
I’m linking up with Kate at Life in Pieces for the 15 Minutes to Stitch and Donna at quiltpaintcreate for the stash report.
I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! Drive safe!

Happy New Year to you too. We have decided to stay in with all the wind and rain. Glad to hear your brother is doing well.

Even if you didn’t make your stash busting goals, you did really well at using up stash and at least turning over a few yards. Thanks for linking up with the 15 minutes to stitch each week. Good luck with your stitching goals in 2019.
