April 1st, 2018 - Happy Easter

Happy Easter! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. But this weather here is something else. I can remember being a kid and getting the new Easter outfit that did not involve a winter coat. Today, here in Windsor ON, it’s a bit brisk. It was 32 when I went out this morning and now at 1:42 it’s 37. Certainly doesn’t feel like the first day of April. Can I put the snow shovels away yet?

On to the fabric department. I didn’t post last week because ……. That’s a who knows why, what was I doing, can’t remember anyway. At least I wasn’t shopping for fabric. But I did cut up a lot of fabric for backings. Here are my numbers.

Fabric used this week: 14.06 yds

Fabric used YTD: 77.63 yds

fabric added this week: 0 yds

Fabric added YTD: 70.14 yds

Net fabric busted: 7.49 yds  Oh Yeah! Back in the black again!!

I didn’t even sew that much in the last 2 weeks. I clocked 11.5 hours and 19 hours.  Now to get back in the groove again.

I’m linking up with Donna at QuiltPaintCreate and Kate at Life In Pieces.

Have a great week!

[…] No fabric in or out this week. I went to Joann’s Friday with a wad of coupons and didn’t buy anything. I was looking for embroidery supplies that they don’t carry and good quality cotton knit fabric. No luck on the fabric either. There will be a road trip in my future for fashion fabric. I finished the last piece in the dresser set and moved on to the next hand project. It’s folded in half here. And this is a close up. All the pieces need a good soak, but not today. We have snow in our forecast this week. Don’t think spring will ever get here.

Congratulations on being in the black again! Happy Day!

It’s chilly down here in OK, but it is typical spring weather that depends on the wind direction. It’s going to warm up with the south winds, but then it gets cold with the northern winds. And then we get tornado season.

I think you’ll continue to get the cold weather for a while.

To clock that much time in a week would be miracle for me! I’m happy to get my 15-30 minutes a day. Keep up the great work, and congrats on making it to the black again on what has gone out.
