January 29th, 2017 - The Stash Week 4
So I hardly post anymore but that’s okay. As long as I’m quilting, all is good. We have been babysitting both grandkids most weekends and are enjoying every minute of it. One day, this won’t be the place to hang out so until then we are loving it.
During the weeks of this month, I’ve been sewing away like crazy. Made 3 tops, 3 backings, started on a Christmas gift and started on another quilt. I can’t decide which I want to work on. As soon as I cut fabric for a quilt, I count it as out of my stash. I even purchased fabric to go with some I picked up last year. Great find on eBay. Too bad there’s shipping charges but I didn’t buy it for the price, I bought it because it’s what I wanted. It was still cheaper than fabric here in Canada. And it goes with this fabric from last year.
Now for some numbers.
Fabric used this month and YTD: 51.52 yds
Fabric added this month and YTD: 4 yds
Net fabric busted: 47.52 yds
By the way, I didn’t actually use all that fabric, I gifted 26 yards to a new quilter. And it really didn’t make a dent in my stash. I hope to be ahead this year. I finished last year in the black with 0.42 yards. My final total was 161.93 yards used and I added 161.57 yards. Ever since I started doing Stash reports on Judy‘s site, I’ve added more than I’ve used by 221.93 yards. This year I hope to make that zero. Here goes!
Have a great week!
