August 27th, 2011 - The Stash

I’m back! Doesn’t that sound like a line from a movie? And I want to say it’s from a Jack Nicholson movie that I can’t remember the name of. You know the one where he says “here’s Johnny” and the kid in it keeps on saying “red room” which is murder backwards. Anyway, that’s not what I’m here to post about. It’s all about the stash. I’ve sewed just a wee bit and I’ve increased my stash just a wee bit. Well, more than a wee bit but it was certainly worth it. All for a good cause.

Fabric used: 3.19 yds

Fabric used YTD: 106.64 yds

Fabric added: 43.33 yds of which 39 yds were flannel for comfort quilt backings and the rest was another quilt backing

Fabric added YTD: 154.02

Net fabric busted: -47.38

I was really trying to not post anything until I was back in the positives. Now I’ll just have to rev up the  machine and start quilting. Have a wonderful day. I hope everyone in the path of Hurricane Irene stays safe.

    THERE you are!!! Holy cow that’s a lot of fabric, lol. But as you say, it’s for a good cause! Let me know how you’re doing, and if you’re coming for the Sewing Expo….

    I’m with you, the hot weather does not make me feel like quilting! Napping–now I did that again today.
