January 1st, 2011 - Happy New Year
I hope everyone had a great 2010. Now it’s time for 2011 and lots of plans and maybe some resolutions. I really hate making them but sometimes it’s not a resolution but a change in the way you do things. I have lots of changes I might make, depending on how I feel.Â
Today I feel like quilting , so that’s what I’m doing and lots of it. I’ve already sewn the binding on a large bed quilt and it’s now on the bed. I finished 2 Christmas table toppers and they will be put away for gifts for next year. I planned on giving them away at Christmas but I never finished them. I was ill over the holidays and am now on the road to recovery. I think quite a few people have had this cold and it seems to linger for a few weeks. I’m drinking lots of water and getting lots of rest so hopefully it will be gone just as quickly as it came.
I saw on JudyL’s blog, she has an UFO challenge going on. I was thinking of doing it but I’ve decided to keep my life simple for the next year. No challenges, no design wall Monday and maybe no weekly stash report. I didn’t do very many Design Wall Mondays but I did the Stash Reports. It takes a lot of time to make each post with some pictures and then read everyone else’s post for that week. Comments need to be read and some need answers. I think I waste way too much time on this computer and I could be using that time to quilt. So, I’m limiting myself to monthly stash reports and that’s it. I hope to read everyone’s blog not right away everyday like I usually do but as a break from quilting. Your blogs aren’t going anywhere and they’ll still be there when I have time to read them. So on that note, I think I have some quilting to do. See you all later.

Good for you spending your day sewing – I did too, with some minimal cleaning of the sewing room, so I could FIND my sewing. I think I’ll join you in blogging less, although I have that monthly THING going on, lol. I just have to decide what’s more important….my computer is like a vacuum, sucking up all my time.
