January 8th, 2012 - The Stash

Week 2 already! I didn’t post for Week 1 but like most of you, it was all zeros. Last year I ended up in the negatives for my net fabric busted but I’m hoping to change that this year.  I plan on not having such a big stash by the year end and buying only what I absolutely need. Right?! Anyway, I’ve managed to use a bit of fabric this week and it’s all looking good right now. I did purchase some fabric over the phone but I’m not counting it until it arrives.  Here are my numbers.

Fabric used this week: 5.98 yds

Fabric added this week: 0 yds

Net fabric busted: 5.98 yds

Now I need to cut out some backings for a couple of quilts and get busy quilting them. I hope to keep on using this stash up and have a better finish at the end of the year. Wish me luck!

    Good luck! I have the same goal this year: try to buy only when I need something and finish in the positive!

    It’ll be fun to cheer each other on!

    I’m wishing you luck girl! I have the same hopes – although I’d love to add more solids and mottled to my stash, it’s the novelty fabrics I have problems with, lol!
